With the rapid development of the global economy and technological innovation, rare earth elements, as indispensable strategic materials for modern high-tech industries, are receiving increasing attention from governments, enterprises, and research institutions worldwide. On a global scale, rare earth resources are unevenly distributed. As the world's largest producer and consumer of rare earths, China shoulders the responsibility of supplying the global market. However, amidst tightening environmental protection policies and rising resource extraction costs, the rare earth industry is facing critical challenges in sustainable development and transformation and upgrading. Meanwhile, other countries are accelerating the development of rare earth resources and supply chain layouts, striving to gain more influence and market share in this strategic industry.

From May 28 to May 29, the 2025 SMM (2nd) Rare Earth Industry Forum, hosted by SMM Information & Technology Co., Ltd. (SMM), was grandly held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ningbo Beilun, Ningbo, Zhejiang!

This forum aims to gather wisdom from government, industry, academia, and research sectors to jointly explore new opportunities in the rare earth industry. The event has invited government departments, industry enterprises, academic experts, and investors to gather and engage in in-depth discussions on core issues such as the future trends of the rare earth industry, technological innovation paths, market structure evolution, and policy environment optimization. It is hoped that through this forum, consensus can be built among all sectors to jointly overcome industry development bottlenecks, seize opportunities, address challenges, and work together to advance the rare earth industry towards a greener, smarter, and high-end direction, shaping a new future for the high-quality development of the rare earth industry.
